#CBMCYukon - Wed 6/26/19 - 6:30am - @cbmcok #davidcurran #russelmigl

Good morning men!

I hope your Monday has started off well!

Will you join us Wednesday morning bright and early?…consider inviting a guest.

This week we will begin to wrap up the last principle of the Living Proof study and then do about a 2 week quick review of the Living Proof principles which will take us through the end of July.  All great and worthy information!!

➖This week's principle:

"Evangelism and Discipleship are one continuous adventure"

HEADS UP:  we will have a few special guest speakers starting in July which are listed at the bottom of the email.

------------------------------------

STARTING OFF THIS WEDNESDAY MORNING
we will consider the questions listed below and share responses. (if you volunteer to do so).

"The terrible thing, the almost impossible thing, is to hand over your whole self—all your wishes and precautions—to Christ. But it is far easier than what we are all trying to do instead. For what we are trying to do is to remain what we call 'ourselves', to keep personal happiness as our great aim in life, and yet at the same time be 'good'. We are all trying to let our mind and heart go their own way—centered on money or pleasure or ambition—and hoping, in spite of this, to behave honestly and chastely and humbly. And that is exactly what Christ warned us you could not do. As He said, a thistle cannot produce figs. If I am a field that contains nothing but grass-seed, I cannot produce wheat. Cutting the grass may keep it short: but I shall still produce grass and no wheat. If I want to produce wheat, the change must go deeper than the surface. I must be ploughed up and re-sown."  - C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity

Use a journal this week to reflect on one or more of the following questions: (I suggest wading through all the questions.)

A:  What are some of the reasons I fear giving my life completely to God?

B:  Which areas of my life am I most reluctant to surrender to God?

C:  In what ways have I experienced the heavy burden of trying to remain in control of my life?
