I took a little time yesterday evening to go visit a few places that I consider pretty cool on the UW-Madison Campus!
Funny though... You'll hear me get hung on a few words..trying to say "sailboard" and the big thing they put up to watch a movie on..how about a "movie screen" Jay!
One of the great things about going to banking school up here is the opportunity it provides to see new things and places. Yes, I do go to class all day, and even have tests ON SATURDAY...but there's time at night and a good part of the weekend to experience places, people and things in the culture.

It's unsettling...but it's a good thing...

I can remember telling my kids as they have grown up over the years how I've had that feeling come over me on the way home at their age.
It's the same thing I shared with Samantha as we were driving back from a recent five day trip to the lake...now I'm much older.
It's much the same over the years but different as the years pass by..
I'm older now, more responsibility, joy, peace and things I look forward to each day.
I'm talking about that weird unsettling feeling I almost always get as we take to the road returning home from a fun time away. Do you ever feel that?
Not sure what "that" is but I'm thankful to have felt it again. I think maybe it means some level of real relaxation and connecting did take place.
Thank you Lord for a nice break and the road leading us home!

Fall Foliage in Arkansas (HWY270)
Enjoyed a nice trip to Hot Springs, AR over Fall Break (last week). Even though it was only a few days.. it's always good to get away.
I thought you might like to see some of the beautiful foliage as it changes to it's transitional colors as the landscape prepares for Winter.
The pic below was shot looking out the North window of my folks place onto Lake Hamilton.
The lake is a peaceful place .. even the picture reflects that. There is just nothing like drinking a cup of coffee sitting out there and hearing the sounds of the lake..

Hopefully during Fall Break you were able to get a little rest and relaxation or maybe just a little peace and quiet enjoying your family.
I sure did.
