Do you ever get "worked up"?
If you need something to get worked up about, just look at your Facebook feed or watch the news. Unfortunately, most of what we see does not make or create calm.
In addition to the "normal things" that work us up…
There's a laundry list of other items that get us worked up.
Could be things like… Family dynamics, Work changes, Politics and maybe just ANY change in general.
This is why I think FALL is my favorite time of year.
Could be all the gatherings related to food…might be the incredible colors. (just look outside)
But, it's the anticipation this time of year grows in me.
Anticipation o the change of season, Special times with family and memories from the past.
One of the greatest things FALL does in ME is to trigger me to begin to think of the many things I am thankful for..
- An incredible family..
- A great place to work.
- Being put in this place at this time for a special purpose.
One of my favorite movie songs is sung by Bing Crosby in White Christmas: "Counting My Blessings"
When I'm worried and I can't sleep
I count my blessings instead of sheep
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
When my bankroll is getting small
I think of when I had none at all
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
Consider the many things for which you are thankful. Do something really crazy and write your blessings down and actually review (maybe even count) them..
This Fall let's be sure to count our blessings.
